Ventura County Rose Society presents:

A Celebration of Roses

Saturday, September 24, 2011  - 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

 at the Ventura County Educational Center

5100 Adolfo Rd., Camarillo, CA.   

We invite everyone to bring roses to share ( blooms cut and placed in a jar with a little water) along with the roses of VCRS members.  The roses are not to be judged, but shared and enjoyed.

There will be  a viewing of the rare video "Quest for the Rose" (produced by Phillips and Rix) as well as one-on-one demonstrations of flower arrangements..

Visit with Consulting Rosarians who will be available to discuss roses and answer questions.

Rose artifacts and garden memorabilia, such as copper bird houses and rose decorated items, as well as very rare roses will be available for purchase.  A limited number of the special polyantha rose "September Celebration" by David Ziesak will be available for sale.

Ventura County residents are welcome to attend for a few minutes, a few hours, or the entire day.  No RSVP's are needed.  Bring a friend or neighbor.

Bringing roses to display at the Celebration of Roses will earn the person a free VCRS membership until the end of the year and a trial membership in the American Rose Society.
